1. About these terms

These Website Terms of Use and Disclaimers (Terms) govern your access to and use of sherlysulaiman.com (the Site), operated by Sherly Sulaiman ("I", "me" and "my"). By using the Site, including by joining the mailing list, using the contact form or requesting a free meditation MP3, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms work together with the Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is handled through the Site.

2. Who may use the Site

There is no minimum age for browsing the Site, joining the mailing list or requesting a free meditation MP3. If you use the Site on behalf of someone else, you are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to do so.

3. What the Site offers

• information about Sherly Sulaiman and her work;
• newsletters and updates for people who choose to subscribe;
• free meditation MP3 recordings;
• embedded video content; and
• a contact form for general enquiries.

The Site does not sell products or services, take payments, or offer subscriptions. If that changes, these Terms will be updated before the change takes effect.

4. General wellbeing information

The Site, newsletters and free meditation MP3s provide general wellbeing, educational and informational content. They are not personalised therapy, medical, psychological or other professional advice, and using the Site does not create a therapist-client, practitioner-patient or other professional relationship.

The content may not be suitable for every person or circumstance. You should seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional about your own health, wellbeing or other circumstances.

5. Free meditation MP3s

The meditation MP3s are offered free of charge for your personal, non-commercial use. Sherly Sulaiman owns and controls the recordings and the music used in them.

When you download an MP3, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to download and listen to it privately. You may not, without prior written permission:

• sell, rent, sublicense or otherwise commercialise the recordings;
• reproduce, republish, upload, post or distribute them;
• broadcast, stream or play them publicly or in a commercial setting;
• edit, remix or create derivative works from them; or
• remove ownership, attribution or copyright notices.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. Mailing list

If you join the mailing list, you ask to receive newsletters and updates from me. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email. The Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled.

7. Contact form

Use the contact form for general enquiries only. Do not send sensitive or health information through it. The form is not a secure or confidential channel, and messages are not monitored for urgent matters.

8. Intellectual property

All Site content, including text, images, graphics, videos, logos, MP3 recordings and other material, is owned by Sherly Sulaiman or used with permission. The name and logo are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws, whether or not registered as trade marks.

You may view the Site and share ordinary links to it, but you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially use its content without prior written permission, except as expressly allowed under Section 5.

9. Acceptable use

You must not use the Site in a way that is unlawful, infringes another person's rights, interferes with the Site or its systems, introduces malicious code, or misuses the free MP3s or other Site content.

10. Third-party services and links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and embedded Vimeo videos. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

11. Privacy and cookies

The Privacy Policy explains how personal information, cookies and related technologies are handled. The Site does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar advertising or visitor-tracking tools.

12. Availability and liability

I take reasonable care with the Site, but provide it and its free content on an "as is" and "as available" basis. I do not guarantee that the Site will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure or suitable for every purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the Site or its free content. Where liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited to re-supplying the relevant content or the cost of doing so.

13. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with its last-updated date. By continuing to use the Site after an update, you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia and courts entitled to hear appeals from them.
