See What’s Possible for You
For over two decades, certified clinical hypnotherapist Sherly Sulaiman has helped people work through anxiety, grief, depression, and deep-rooted patterns. Her hands-on expertise is now brought to you virtually through personalised Self-Mastery Coaching.

I have been working with Sherly for about six years now, and it’s hard to put into words how much she has impacted my life.
When I first came to her, I was going through one of the hardest periods of my life. I was deeply depressed, and the people who loved me were worried about me. A friend referred me to Sherly, and looking back now, I’m so grateful he did.
Sherly helped me work through the depression I was in, but she also helped me understand myself on a much deeper level. She helped me recognize why I kept choosing certain relationships, where those patterns were coming from, and most importantly, how to finally break them.
About a year after I started working with Sherly, I met the man who would become my husband. Today, we are married and have a beautiful three-year-old little boy. When I think about the woman who first walked into Sherly’s office compared to the life I have now, it truly feels like night and day.
My journey with her didn’t stop there. After having my son, I struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety and began experiencing severe panic attacks. Sherly has helped me tremendously through that season as well. She taught me how to recognize what was happening in my body, what to do when I felt a panic attack coming on, and how to work through my anxiety instead of feeling completely controlled by it.
As I write this, it has been a little over two months since my last panic attack, which is something I am incredibly grateful for.
Over these past six years, Sherly has helped me through some of the darkest and most important seasons of my life. She has helped me understand myself, break unhealthy patterns, manage my anxiety, and become a stronger and healthier version of myself.
I genuinely don’t know where I would be today without her. When I think about where I was when we first started working together and where I am now, I almost can’t believe how much my life has changed.
Sherly, I am so incredibly grateful for you, for everything you have taught me, and for the way you have walked alongside me through so many different chapters of my life. You have made a lasting impact on me and my family, and I will always be thankful that my friend led me to you all those years ago.
“Sherly is one of those people I truly believe came into my life for a reason. I met her during a difficult time in my life through what started as a casual conversation, and by the end of it, something had shifted in me. We reconnected several months later and I’ve now been working with her for the past few years.
I’ve worked with many coaches, therapists, and different modalities throughout my life. Those experiences gave me a lot of awareness, yet the awareness didn’t always translate into change. Working with Sherly has been different. She has an incredible ability to help me understand what is actually underneath the patterns holding me back and then work through them with gentleness, compassion, clarity, and humor.
The changes in my life have been profound. I’m able to be in a loving relationship, I’m thriving creatively and professionally, and most importantly, I feel more comfortable being myself than I ever have before.
Sherly is caring, intuitive, supportive, and deeply invested in the people she works with. I’m not always the simplest person to untangle, and she meets me with grace, curiosity, and zero judgment. I really look forward to every session.
Her wisdom, experience, humor, and approach have helped create pathways to growth that I hadn’t been able to find elsewhere. I’m incredibly grateful our paths crossed.”
I do think that the beauty of hypnotherapy is the discovery of yourself as an individual
I began working with Sherly after a lifetime of erecting walls to protect myself from disappointment and fear. Due to a tragic childhood/adolescence, I’d developed stagnating behavioral patterns and became a queen of accommodation to avoid being hurt, or experience grief or anxiety.
Every decade or so, I’d seek out a therapist to guide me through difficult patches, and though many had various modalities at their disposal to address my symptoms/needs, I never felt true progress. And by that, I don’t mean the erasure of my issues. I mean an evolution of understanding and perceptual shift that would allow deeper, life-enhancing changes to be possible.
Certain people transcend the labels stitched to their profession because their capacity to approach and solve problems seems bottomless. For me, Sherly is like Felix the Cat, the wondrous cartoon character of my childhood whose toolbox or “bag of tricks” adapts to any situation. She embraces all points of view without judgment and manages to always gently guide me toward the essence of a problem, and thereby on the path to a healthy solution.

Here is my son!! (Peter & I got married and worked through a lot as a couple) He is turning 6 months old in a couple of days. His name is Massai (from the Maasai tribe in Africa that we visited), and will be a future unplug member!.
I’ve been reflecting a lot on how much you have helped me deal with the loss of my boyfriend David in 2015. As I look back, you truly helped me heal and grow into a much stronger, healthier and happier person. I now have acceptance and peace of the life that once was vs the path I choose today and has lead me to where I am. I thank you for all these years of working on me and guiding me throughout this journey.
I hope to see you soon!!

I was referred to Sherly while deep in the grief and trauma of losing my mother. I was bereft, but also still a wife, a mother, and a career woman who had to keep going. She deftly guided me in putting my life back together and standing on my own two feet again. Sherly understands how to help people ride the roller coaster of life. With deep empathy, she challenges false beliefs and helps rewire the brain to cut through the noise and access the thoughts that will best serve you and those around you.
Sherly has been a key part of my growth journey through life. From coping with the loss of my dad to Parkinson’s Disease and healing my inner child, to navigating a very dramatic childbirth, Sherly has given me the tools to work through life's defining moments and discover my best self. She is so easy to talk to, and I look forward to every session.
Back in late 2025, a friend of mine reached out to check in on me and within days connected me with Elly. From that moment on, my life-changing journey began. Elly, I’m forever grateful for your support, advice, understanding, and honesty when I need to hear it (aka “the look”). Most of all, it’s the lifelong friendship we now share. Thank you for always being there for me and for being a huge part of my life.
It’s worked for me and it’s really helped my life
I can’t thank you enough for your kind, thoughtful, patient, insightful and magical approach to helping me overcome issues that plagued me my entire life. Binge eating and alcohol and nicotine abuse were reactions that I chose whenever I was in a heightened state of stress and anxiety. I consciously knew I was making self-destructive choices during such times and that they were temporary “fixes” that ultimately exacerbated other problems such as weight gain and asthma, and all I wanted was to know how to just calm myself down without resorting to medication. You taught me how. You unlocked a door in my mind that had been slammed shut years before, no doubt as a coping response I adopted as a child. For the first time in my life I feel balanced and centered, and even though stressful and anxiety-provoking situations still arise, I am choosing to handle them in a thoughtful, considered way and I am really enjoying the automatic positive outlook I now have– all thanks to you! I know that if I ever find myself slipping back into old coping behaviors that I can come to you for a “tune-up” and I take comfort in that knowledge. For now, everything is holding steady and I really appreciate all that you taught me. You totally ROCK!
insightful, friendly, and intelligent. The sessions have been helpful on multiple levels, since we talk about my issues, practice relaxation, and do hypnotherapy.
For example, anxiety has been a big issue my whole life. After more than 10 years seeing a psychologist, I have a better understanding of what was going on but I’ve never fully addressed it to my satisfaction. In one session, Sherly helped me end most of my anxiety, the debilitating part. Now if I feel anxiety rising up inside me, which amazingly since that session rarely happens, I have a simple way that to address it so that it no longer gets anywhere near to the point of overwhelming me and instead just dissipates and basically disappears.
I still can’t believe this has happened since for so much of my life anxiety had such control over me but now it no longer does.
Every session has been helpful in important ways with the issues that we’ve worked on. I only have the most positive things to say about Sherly and her practice. She has helped me greatly.
Thank you Sherly!
When I first met with Sherly, I was suffering from chronic anxiety, pervasive fear of the future, bitterness towards myself and others over the past, and an overall depression that was stifling my relationships and enjoyment of life. Sherly’s multi-faceted approach of combining traditional talk therapy, guided meditation, hypnotic suggestion and daily positive reinforcement exercises acted as a catalyst in breaking the cycle of despair I had been experiencing for some years. Though consciously aware of my irrational stress for some time, I had been unable to affect change until my sessions with Sherly, who in accessing my subconscious helped precipitate change from the inside out. Through an enjoyable and liberating re-framing of my psychological process, my life is no longer in the clutches of fear or regret and I am able to confidently live in each moment as it comes. A wonderful result of Sherly’s method and witnessable proof to others of it’s effectiveness has been my cessation of alcohol use– which had been daily and significant for many, many years- ending with remarkably little effort after five sessions; the alcoholism hadn’t even been addressed in those sessions, but through addressing the underlying negative thought patterns the symptom ceased to function. I highly recommend Sherly to anyone like myself, who are aware that they are in a continuous cycle of negativity but have so far been unsuccessful at making a significant and lasting change in their state of being. With Sherly’s help I now am able to appreciate and enjoy life in a way that makes me feel lighter, freer, younger; and rather than a burden, a blessing to others and myself.
When I came to see Sherly, I was in a rut. I couldn’t get out of bed before 4pm. I couldn’t socialize or take many calls. For around 6 years, most of my days were spent eating when I got up then going straight to bed. I had been taking Zoloft for the past 11 years. I had a lot of physical illness too, including arthritis and had a heart valve replacement due to various heart problems.
I don’t know or understand what she did to me but the best description I can give is that it was like she took my brains out and placed it in a washing machine in mid-cycle, then placed them back in! With each session we had, I somehow felt clearer and better. This continued until I felt so good, I just didn’t want or need to take the Zoloft anymore.
Now, I am able to get out of bed and get stuff done and even socialize. The other day, I even had brunch with my nephew! Unheard of for the past 11 years of my life! Thank you, Sherly. I still don’t understand it but I just know that it works!
Talks about mindfulness throughout her entertainment career and how Sherly’s workshop deepened that practice.
I had a fantastic experience at the first Empacting Mindfulness session. Sherly is a special person: extremely calming and authoritative and offers such a safe and generous energy to the group. It was a brilliant introduction to the process and I was so satisfied with what I achieved in such a short space of time – that’s a real testament to yours and Sherly’s skill. I will attend as many meetings as possible when I return to LA and will be recommending them to others enthusiastically. Thank you my friend.
I have been on anti depressants and have seen a lot of therapists for the past ten years, on and off. They were ok but they didn’t really help me other than having someone to verbally express to. When I started having sessions with Sherly, I felt a change within me even from our very first one. Sherly helped me with my self esteem and confidence and I am truly grateful. I had felt better with therapists in the past but not that deep and not that quickly.
Thank you, Sherly. Keep doing what you’re doing, we need more of you in this world!
I was sceptical and I must admit, a bit afraid, Sherly has an amazing energy and presence that puts you at ease. I didn’t feel like I was being judged which was extremely comforting for me.
Above and beyond her skills with the treatment is her capability to connect and provide a safe environment. Through her patience, kindness and knowledge I have been able to release and rise above the doubt and fear that plagued me for so many years.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Sherly.
With Shirley's guidance I was able to actually focus and without judgment and without effort
I was a nervous wreck when I first started sessions with Sherly. I was really anxious and I was having panic attacks every night. The littlest thing would stress me out and I didn’t even know why. After only a few of our sessions, my panic attacks went away completely.
Now I can handle stress better…I still have my highs and lows, but I realize that everyone does and it is ok. Thank you, Sherly for having faith in me even when I didn’t.
Your calm energy is very soothing and your positive outlook on life is quite contagious.
I had been a smoker for 30 years. I honestly didn’t think anything could help me stop … but I am amazed and happy to say that I am now a non-smoker and loving it! And I really don’t miss smoking at all. I wouldn’t have believed it was possible but it truly is!
Thank you so much, Sherly. You literally saved my life.
Thank you for helping me with my claustrophobic phobia. I can now do all these things that I thought would not be a part of my life. Before I couldn’t even be in small rooms or ever go to the dentist. Now I don’t even feel an ounce of fear or panic when I go into lifts! I also made it to the dentist!
Thank you so much for your help. I have seen so many other therapists but you helped me on a very real and experiential level with my depression. You also actually cared about me getting better and I truly appreciate that.
Within just a few sessions I had completely stopped all alcohol consumption. This was possible by focusing on what is universally understood to be beneficial for every person. All this was done with wisdom, care and tenderness.
I’m a TV Producer of almost 20 years, but I worked as an actor for ten years through out my 20’s, and for me the mindfulness practice I cultivated as a young woman has given me the tools to navigate the entertainment industry and remain present and open to what ever comes my way. With Sherly’s guidance through this powerful workshop I was able to deepen that practice. Sherly’s experience as a healing Practitioner and her desire to offer a clear and simple practice to Actors and Artist on their journey is obviously genuine and born of years of experience running a thriving practice. I felt safe and secure in her hands.
I just wanted to thank you for the hypnotherapy…it works!
